One day I was doing Christmas shopping and I spotted a white feathered Christmas tree table ornament. I immediately fell in love with it. It had a glamorous soft white feel to it and the feathers gave a soft and elegant vibe. But it was way too pricy, and I wasn’t willing to pay what they ask for it. So I decided to make it myself. I went to the craft shop and bought all the necessary items and made this for a fraction of the price. It was very rewarding when I saw the finished project. This is probably one of the easiest and quickest craft projects. It can be done in any size and length according to your needs. I have used a 30 cm cone for this project.
Materials
Styrofoam tree cone (or you can make your own tree form with stiffer paper and staples)
2 bags of feathers (100)
Cold Glue (wood glue)
Shallow Candle holder or small cake stand (optional)
Scissors
Directions
Start out by adding the cold glue to the bottom of the Styrofoam tree. Add the first row of feathers with the natural curve facing down and out. This will give your tree a fluffy look. It doesn’t have to be perfect.
Add more glue little by little and press the feathers in rows to the Styrofoam. Always be sure to cover the previous glue row as you proceed to the top so that all you see is the feather.
Keep gluing the feather around the tree all the way to the top. Cut of the smallest feathers to glue on the top of the tree in the other direction for the top. Optional you can add something like a brochure or a star for the top of the tree.
Place the cone on a cake stand or a candle holder
